Delicious Vanilla Jasmine Milk Tea is a soothing and aromatic beverage combining fragrant jasmine tea with creamy milk, warm vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon, sweetened naturally with honey. Perfect for a comforting hot drink or a refreshing iced treat.

Ingredients

For the Tea Base

  • 1 cup Water (fresh, filtered)
  • 2 bags Jasmine Tea (green or black preferred)

For the Creamy Blend

  • 1 cup Milk (dairy or plant-based such as almond, oat, or coconut)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (or seeds from 1/2 a vanilla bean)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

For Sweetening

  • 2 teaspoons Honey (can substitute with maple syrup or agave)

Instructions

  1. Bring Water to Simmer: Pour 1 cup of water into a small pot and heat it over medium heat until it reaches a gentle simmer, which takes about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Steep Jasmine Tea: Add 2 bags or 2 teaspoons of jasmine tea to the simmering water, allowing it to steep for 3-5 minutes to release the delicate floral flavors.
  3. Add Milk and Flavorings: Reduce the heat to low, then stir in 1 cup of your chosen milk along with 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Stir gently and let the mixture combine for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  4. Sweeten Your Tea: Mix in 2 teaspoons of honey until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust the sweetness if desired by adding a little more honey or your preferred sweetener.
  5. Serve Hot or Iced: Pour the tea into mugs to enjoy it hot or allow it to cool and serve over ice for a refreshing cold version.
  6. Optional Garnish: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top or add a vanilla bean for an elegant presentation and extra aroma.

Notes

  • You can substitute plant-based milk such as almond, oat, or coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
  • Adjust the steeping time depending on your preferred tea strength.
  • Use maple syrup or agave instead of honey if you prefer a vegan sweetener.
  • For iced tea, prepare the tea base ahead and chill before adding milk and sweetener.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom for extra spice complexity if desired.
