Simple Pizza Wraps are a quick and delicious meal featuring flour tortillas filled with classic pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and tasty toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives. Baked to golden perfection, these wraps are crispy on the outside with melty cheese inside, perfect for a fun appetizer or a easy dinner.

Ingredients

Wrap Base

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 big flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
  • A splash of olive oil for brushing

Toppings

  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ cup chopped bell peppers
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ¼ cup black olive slices
  • Some red pepper flakes (optional, if you like spicy)

For Serving

  • Extra pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it’s ready when you are. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare Tortillas: Place the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread about ¼ cup of pizza sauce evenly over each tortilla, leaving half an inch clear along the edges.
  3. Add Cheese: Spread approximately ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza sauce on each tortilla.
  4. Add Toppings: Evenly scatter the pepperoni, sliced mushrooms, chopped bell peppers, and black olive slices over each tortilla.
  5. Season: Sprinkle Italian herbs over the toppings, and add red pepper flakes if you prefer some heat.
  6. Roll Wraps: Fold the two sides of each tortilla inward, then roll firmly from the bottom, keeping all fillings inside. Place the wraps seam-side down on the lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush with Oil: Lightly brush the outside of each wrap with olive oil to help them turn golden and crispy while baking.
  8. Bake: Place the wraps in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes until they are golden and crispy with melty cheese inside.
  9. Rest: Remove from oven and let the wraps sit for 2 to 3 minutes to set and cool slightly for easy handling.
  10. Serve: Cut each wrap diagonally in half and serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
