Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

For Cooking

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix gently until just combined to avoid tough patties.
  2. Form Patties: Shape the mixture into 4 to 5 equal-sized patties. Place them on a plate and chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to help them firm up and hold their shape during cooking.
  3. Heat Pan: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat to prepare for cooking the patties evenly without sticking.
  4. Cook Patties: Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) ensuring they are thoroughly cooked.
  5. Rest and Serve: Remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for 2 minutes. Serve hot on buns or alongside a fresh salad and vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, you can add a tablespoon of plain yogurt or grated zucchini to the mixture.
  • If you want to make the patties Gluten Free, substitute the breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed almonds.
  • Chilling the patties before cooking helps maintain their shape and prevents breaking.
  • Use a nonstick skillet or well-seasoned pan to avoid sticking and reduce the amount of oil needed.
  • The patties freeze well; place uncooked patties on a tray, freeze, then store in airtight bags for up to 3 months. Cook from frozen by adding extra cooking time.
