These Easy Chicken Stuffed Crescents make for a quick and delicious dinner option. Tender shredded chicken combined with creamy cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and flavorful seasonings is wrapped inside buttery crescent roll dough and baked to golden perfection. Topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan and fresh parsley, these stuffed crescents are perfect as a savory appetizer or satisfying main dish.

Ingredients

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Dough & Topping

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Remaining fresh parsley for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, garlic powder, black pepper, and optional parsley. Mix well until evenly combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  2. Assemble the crescents: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place a generous spoonful of the chicken filling near the wide end of each triangle. Fold the dough over the filling and roll up from the wide end to the pointed tip, sealing the seams tightly.
  3. Arrange on baking sheet: Place the assembled crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly to allow for expansion. Avoid overcrowding so they bake evenly.
  4. Bake crescents: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the crescents for 12-15 minutes or until puffed up and golden brown on top.
  5. Add Parmesan topping: While the crescents are baking, combine grated Parmesan cheese with any remaining chopped parsley. Immediately after removing the crescents from the oven, sprinkle this mixture on top to add extra flavor.
  6. Cool and serve: Allow the stuffed crescents to cool slightly before serving so the filling sets and they are safe to eat.

Notes

  • Make sure to seal the seams of the crescent rolls well to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
  • You can substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • Use leftover cooked chicken or rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • The optional parsley adds freshness but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • Serve warm with a side salad for a complete meal.
